I had to post the rest of my sisters sleepy little baby Vann's portraits from our session...

The funny thing is that I have never really considered myself a baby photographer. You would never guess that from my blog recently.. (= I love being able to interact with little kids and people and create reactions that look great on camera. Babies are unpredictable and take alot more patience... (= but it's been so much fun shooting all these babies! It seems like everyone lately is popping out these cute little guys, including myself! (= It'll be fun to see them all grow up throughout the years and be able to look back at how sweet and tiny they were at one time... If only my sweet little girl Mika would have been such a sleepy baby like Vann instead of a colicky one... we would have gotten alot more portraits! (=

So my blog may be filled with pics of my sweet daughters Maddy and Mika for awhile since I am taking a short maternity leave to focus on my family for a couple months. I still need my photography fix and whether they like it or not, my little girls get to be my models! We haven't ventured too much outdoors since Mika is still small, so I set up studio on my bed, couch, or wherever the natural light hits and take pics whenever I get the urge and my little girls will let me!

Here is my baby girl Mika modeling her cute little hair flower and outfit given to her by my good friend Katie of Mia Moo Designs... Check out her blog to purchase cute hair accessories, dresses and more... This little girl laughs in her sleep! We will hear these funny little giggles and look down at her and she is actually laughing! (Probably thinking of all the funny things she can do to make sure mommy doesn't sleep at night (= )! She smiles a ton too...

My friend Ashlee and I collaborated and pulled out the infamous tree branch structure to get this pic of Mika. After over 3 hours of trying to get her to sleep, we finally got the pics we were looking for! I'm so thankful for Ashlee for not letting me give up! I love the colors and love my squishy little baby girl in these shots Ashlee and I got...

We are so blessed to welcome our newest addition Baby Mika Susan Nguyen, born March 10th, 7 lbs 8 oz and 19 inches long. She is the sweetest baby ever! We love her to death and never want to put her down...

And at 4 days old she is already smiling for the camera!

I officially on maternity leave with 6 weeks left until I have my second little girl, so while I'm getting ready for my new little one, I am also catching up on blogging all the recent shoots I have been doing.

Meet Brynlee, the sweetest little 1 year old! She just had a birthday and we had to capture her in all her cuteness. She had the funnest time getting her picture taken. She should be a little model! This was one of the easiest 1 year old portraits I have ever done! Brynlee was happy and glowing for every image!

Over the holidays I shot another beautiful wedding at the Ritz Carlton Laguna Niguel. It was a perfect day in the middle of December, and the wedding and decor couldn't have been more beautiful. Kathy Jo Peterson coordinated the wedding and the bride and groom couldn't have been happier.

Zahra was glowing the whole day. She was so much fun to shoot and was gorgeous!

The Lewis family and I had so much fun shooting at the fun zone! You might recognize Kelly from her famous OC website Just Spotted . She's super creative and has so many great ideas. I just love the colors she chose for their outfits! The kids had so much energy! It was a great day!

In August I shot this beautiful intimate wedding coordinated by Kathy Jo Peterson at the Ritz Carlton. It was such a sweet wedding bringing together a new cute little family. I'm so glad that this cute little family won the Just Spotted Michelle Photography Give Away. Hobie and Sailor were adorable and super photogenic! I loved getting to know them and their mom Holly. This was a blast, and I am so excited how the portraits turned out. We were first aiming for just some great 1st baby portraits of Hobie, but we couldn't resist adding his beautiful big sister into the mix. She loved getting her portrait taken!

The wedding was at the beautiful Turnip Rose, and the design and floral arrangements were done by Pearl Barro who is such a talented florist!

Jen was such a beautiful bride, I was so excited about working with her on her wedding day. As you can see, she inspired me to shoot so many beautiful portraits of her, it was hard to narrow it down to just these to shot you...

Ryan and Carole's Wedding...

Ryan and Carole's wedding was so much fun. We travelled to the Madonna Inn in San Luis Obispo which totally matched their vintage styles. It was It was very different than the traditional wedding, but so much fun to be apart of! Every room at the hotel is decorated to the max in a different theme.

Here are some shots of Carole in her "Cave Room"...

Carole is so fun to photograph!And Ryan getting ready in the guys room, not sure what the theme for this room was, but it was very green...The Ceremony was so much fun...

They actually were married by a majician... Before the ceremony he was actually cutting flowers from the altar pieces and handing them out to the audience. He made these cards turn into a mini deck of cards before the ceremony began...

With a wave from his majic scissors, the bride and grooms rings were blessed...

All the kids were so cute. Here is a cute portrait of Savannah, one of the flower girls...

The Bridal Party had a blast...

The Reception's center pieces were perfect! They were designed by the groom's mother. She did an amazing job capturing their style.

If you made a toast, you had to wear a sombrero...

Thi had to be one of the coolest cakes I have seen... And the pinkest cake...

The wedding slideshow was filled with hilarious photos and memories of the bride and groom...

Chi and Luis's Wedding

I had the amazing opportunity this last weekend to shoot Chi and Luis' wedding. It was spectacular. It was at the Ritz Carlton in Laguna and coordinated by Shelly of Details Details. The amazing flowers and decor were by Square Root Designs. And the beautiful dove release pictured below was coordinated by White Flite. Chi and Luis were so in love. The day was beautiful, and everything was perfect. It was great to be apart of such a wonderful event.

I love doing bridal portraits before the actual wedding day. It's so much fun to really be able to have time to shoot and really get great images without the stress and time restraints the day of the wedding can sometimes bring. Carole was so fun, I think Laguna really captured her free spirit and colorful style. I can't wait to see what her wedding will be like. They actually have a magician as the officiant! It will be a blast!

Brittany and Nate's Wedding..

Another Beautiful wedding coordinated by Kathy Jo Peterson. The colors of the wedding were so fun and Brittany and Nate were such a great couple to shoot. We got gorgeous portraits at the Newport Beach Temple, and then headed over to the Fun Zone for some more. Brittany and Nate's families were so great to work with, it was truly an amazing day!

Something blue...

I love this image. Brittany and Nate got alot of attention in Balboa. People were so excited for them. There were alot more pics of people cheering them on as they rode their bikes past, but this was one of my favs...

One of the coolest things of the reception was The Fry Girl, frying up donuts for all the guests. She was a hit!

This cake was pretty amazing too! One of my favorite cakes so far. Love the cake stand!

And these little guys really stole the show on the dance floor... They were so good!

They also had a sweet photo booth they used so guests could post pictures and write messages in their guestbook.

Jaden's Turning 1!

Another 1 year old, and more birthday pics! And we had to throw Maddy in the mix again with her friend Jaden for some fishy pics! Little did we know that Maddy and Jaden wouldn't just look at the fishy and be cute, they wanted to grab the fishy and eat all the marbles in the fishbowl. It was crazy, but so much fun! Maddy and Jaden are only 4 days apart. We are so grateful to have moved into a neighborhood with such great people. It will be fun to see Maddy and Jaden grow up together!

I love Persian Weddings. They are always so exciting, the food is amazing and beautiful, and everyone dances the night away. Salmira and Farhoud's wedding was no exception. It was a fun-filled night full of love and laughter.

I LOVE doing bridals as you can see... Salmira looked stunning and made it so easy to create these gorgeous portraits...

This was one of the most colorful Persian ceremonys I have done, I absolutely love all the colors in the table decor. There were even live birds in the beautiful cages covered in flowers on the corners of the table...

I've been so excited to shoot Maddy in this car. My husband Tony gave me this for my birthday, and I've been just waiting to shoot with it. I had the urge to just go outside and shoot this really fast, and this is what I got in my 3 minutes of Maddy's attention span. Of course there will be many more portraits of Maddy in this super cute car to come...

I was so excited to meet Chi and Luis at the San Juan Capistrano Mission to do their engagement portraits. This is one of my favorite places to shoot, the mission is huge and has so many fun nooks and cranny's to discover and have fun with. It is also such a romantic place to create beautiful portraits. Scott and Tracy's wedding...

Tracy and Scott were such a fun Barbie and Ken couple to shoot. We started off with an intimate ceremony with just thier mothers and closest friends on the cliffs by the Montage, headed down to the beach for some fun action shots, and ended up finishing off with some beautiful romanitic portraits of the Ritz Carlton. Square Root Designs again did an amazing job on the flowers.

As you can see, Tracy was glowing the whole day... She was so ecstatic all day, and the portraits truly captured her joy!

Mitsuko and Michael had a beautiful wedding at the Ritz Carlton coordinated by Kathy Jo Peterson. Square Root Designs did an AMAZING job as you can see, and the bride and groom were so much fun to work with. They are such a gorgeous couple, and you can really tell how in love they truly are. It was so funny to find out that I actually just moved right across the street from them! What a small world!

This was one of the cutest flower girls I have ever seen! She was so sweet, I just couldn't stop taking pictures of her!

My sister brought over this huge balloon on Valentines day this year as a gift to her husband from her kids Jackson and Kyle. They were so excited about their balloon, we had to get some cool shots of them flying away with it for Valentines. Unfortunately it didnt make it home to their daddy, and popped before the shoot was done! At least we got these great shots! Her is Maddy flying away with her cousins Jackson and Kyle...
